• direct linking to the merchant's site, if allowed. This is often done as the first step during a design of a new campaign. This method allows me to test various niches, keywords, creative, etc. In some cases very successful campaigns can be created by utilizing this method exclusively.
• development of web sites specifically with a goal of pre-selling of the merchant's products. Such web sites will often contain information aimed at educating the potential customer about products sold by the merchant.

I use other methods of promotion, such as e-mail marketing, only after discussing the details with the merchant's representative.
